Did you know that daily exercise is important for your overall health? Did you also know that “cross training” is also good for your mental health? Cross training might involve walking while swinging your arms across your body as opposed to by your side. This encourages your brain to multi task. But did you also know that you don’t necessarily need to go to the gym or even leave your home? You can use your stairs as your new exercise equipment. Word of CAUTION here: Make sure you fully step on the step not with just the ball of your foot.

JaequeCrockford, exercise physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine suggests the following for leg strength:

“Step up to the first step with your right foot, followed by your left foot and then reverse the process by stepping down with your right foot and then your left. Repeat 15 to 20 times per let. Now please use some common sense here and if you have balance issues do not try this exercise.
